About
MAPI4Opera is an extension for Opera enabling real MAPI support. With MAPI4Opera you can create emails with attachments from any application supporting MAPI.
The Trial-Version is free for personal use.

Requirements

Installation
Download the Installer and follow the instructions.
Opera configuration (en)
Open Tools > Preferences > Advanced
- Opera must handle the mailto protocol:
- Go to section "Programs"
- Select the protocol "mailto"
- Click on the button "Edit"
- Verify that the option "Open with Opera" is selected
- Click on the button "Details"
- Verify that the option "mailto" is checked

Öffnen Sie Extras > Einstellungen > Erweitert
- Opera muss das mailto-Protokoll verwalten:
- Gehen Sie zur Rubrik "Programme"
- Wählen Sie den Eintrag "mailto" aus

Limitations
- The message body is limited to ~2000 characters (including subject and recipients).
- OpenOffice has a problem to handle MAPI and DDE requests simultaneously. As a result there is a delay of 30 seconds before the message will be created (see here).
