MAPI4Opera - MAPI Extension for Opera
About
MAPI4Opera is an extension for Opera
enabling real MAPI support.
There already exists a tool named M2sendto, which creates
an additional "Send to" entry at the Windows Explorer's context menu. Since this is not done via MAPI, it is
very limited in its functionality. With MAPI4Opera you can send emails from any application supporting
MAPI.
Features
- Again: Real MAPI support
Opera Addressbook integration (MAPIResolveName)
- Attaches entire directories (since v0.5.2)
- Creates a ZIP archive on the fly (since v0.5.2)
Requirements
Windows 2000 or newer
There is also a solution for Linux, using the mailto protocol.
Installation
Download the Installer and follow the instructions.
Opera configuration
In Opera open Tools-Preferences-Advanced, go to section Programs, click on the
Details button. Verify that the mailto protocol is checked.
MAPI4Opera configuration
Open the file settings.ini (Startmenu-Programs-MAPI4Opera-Settings) and check shortcut properties, which must match Opera settings.
Done. Give it a try...
Let me know if you get in trouble.
